Anke van Engelshoven graduated at the school of performing arts in Berlin "die Etage" in 2001 and worked in productions of Cirque du Soleil, 7fingers, Chamäleon Theater and many others. 

With a background of dance, she specialized on aerial performance: solo and duo straps, trapeze, silks and chains. 

Her international performances were seen in Israel, India, China, America and many other places. Anke works with Tobias Wegner on aerial straps and was part of the Performance group CIE4. 

Since 2016 she is Co-Founder, Author and Performer with Lena Ries and Romy Seibt of still hungry, a contemporary circus collective from Berlin. Together they created "RAVEN", a piece about modern motherhood. 

Their work is fresh, feministic and powerful.

The trio uses their bodies as primary form of expression with confidence, ease and grace- each conveying their unique physical signature. Strong images and a good sense of humour makes their work truthfully touching and highly amusing.

"RAVEN" by still hungry was the winner of The Scotsman Fringe First Award and the ThreeWeeks Edinburgh Award in 2019.
